Currently working on...

Well, things are busy here at Rikin-central. Being off for half term is a god send, but there is still so much to do! I'll need to help with the school assembly on my return and then create a giant monster for the school.....

...at the same time working on my picture book ideas and my current commission. Can't say too much but it's an educational book that is really, a lot of fun! I'm reminiscing back to the text books my mum used to buy for me and being totally fascinated by all the small illustrations!

Here's a wee sneak peak....

Stars on Canvas 2014

I'm really happy to say that I've produced a canvas that will be included in the Stars on Canvas online charity auction! It was really fun to paint and it's for an amazing cause. All proceeds will go to The Willow Foundation, a really amazing charity that create special and unforgettable days for seriously ill young adults from the ages of 16 to 40. I'm really honoured to be part of such a wonderful cause and hope my canvas will help raise good funds.

The online auction will take place on eBay for 10 days, starting on Thursday the 13th November and ending on Sunday the 23rd November, 2014.

More details can be seen here, together with information about the exhibition that will have my canvas on display together with many, many others:

First blog!

Welcome!

I'll try and blog as much as possible! Been a busy month or so, working at school and doing many bits and bobs. Working on my first commission (thank you lovely Agents!), picture book ideas and some rather wonderful charity pieces.

In September I was lucky to partcipate in the Illustrators for War Child charity art auction. It was set up by Writer and Illustrator Leigh Hodgkinson (@hoonbutton) with the help of publishers, Nosy Crow. I already an illustration that I was working on and felt it would make a lovely addition to the wonderful pieces that were on offer. My illustration, produced as a daily doodle (@daily__doodle) was a Snozzwangler!

This wee chap managed to sell and is now with a lovely owner!
